1. Purpose of This Notice
The Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 ("PAIA") gives effect to the constitutional right of access to any information held by a private or public body, where that information is required for the exercise or protection of a right. This notice explains how G 1 Healthcare (Pty) Ltd ("G1 Healthcare") makes this right accessible.

4. PAIA Manual
In accordance with Section 51 of PAIA, G1 Healthcare maintains a PAIA manual describing the categories of records held by the company and the procedure for requesting access to them. A copy of the manual is available on request from our Information Officer.
5. Categories of Records Held
G1 Healthcare typically holds records in the following categories, some of which may be subject to access requests and some of which are exempt under PAIA:
- Customer order and account records
- Medical license and prescription verification records submitted by customers
- Financial and payment transaction records (processed via PayFast)
- Regulatory and product compliance records (SAHPRA registrations, ISO 10993 test reports)
- Corporate and statutory records (CIPC registration, Memorandum of Incorporation)
- Internal correspondence and business records
6. How to Submit a Request
Requests for access to records must be made in the prescribed form (PAIA Form 2, or the applicable form under the PAIA Regulations) and submitted to our Information Officer via email. Your request should include:
- Sufficient detail to identify the record(s) requested
- The right you are seeking to exercise or protect, and why the record is required for that purpose
- Your preferred form of access and contact details
- Proof of identity
7. Fees
PAIA prescribes standard request and access fees, which may apply depending on the nature and volume of the records requested. Any applicable fees will be communicated to you before records are processed or released.
8. Response Timeframes
G1 Healthcare will respond to valid requests within the timeframes prescribed by PAIA (ordinarily within 30 days of receipt of a complete request, subject to any permitted extensions).
9. Grounds for Refusal
Certain records may be withheld in accordance with the grounds for refusal set out in PAIA, including records protected by legal privilege, third-party confidential or personal information, and commercially sensitive information. Where a request is refused, you will be given written reasons and information about your right to escalate the matter.
10. Oversight
The Information Regulator of South Africa has oversight functions in respect of both PAIA and POPIA. General enquiries can be directed to the Information Regulator at www.inforegulator.org.za.
