TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
G 1 Healthcare (Pty) Ltd | Registration No. 2025/451756/07 | Last Updated: 30 June 2026
1. Introduction

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, and Shipping & Delivery Policy.
These Terms are published in compliance with the disclosure requirements of Section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act"), which governs suppliers offering goods for sale by way of an electronic transaction.
2. Supplier Information (ECT Act Disclosure)

- Website address: www.g1healthcare.co.za.
- Self-regulatory / accreditation body membership: G1 Healthcare is not currently a member of a specific industry self-regulatory or accreditation body beyond its product-level SAHPRA medical device registrations (see our Compliance & Certifications page). Consumers may in any event refer unresolved disputes to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) — see "Dispute Resolution" below.
- Security procedures: All payment transactions are processed by PayFast over an encrypted (TLS/SSL) connection. G1 Healthcare does not store your card or banking details. See our Privacy Policy for further detail on data security.
3. Products
G1 Healthcare supplies SAHPRA-registered stoma bags, urostomy systems, and related ostomy accessories intended for lawful use within South Africa. Each product page provides a description of the product's main characteristics, SKU, UDI code (where applicable), and regulatory classification, sufficient to enable you to make an informed purchasing decision as required by Section 43(1)(h) of the ECT Act.
Product descriptions, specifications and images are provided in good faith. Minor variations in packaging or appearance may occur without affecting product quality.
4. Regulatory Compliance
All products offered for sale are supplied in accordance with applicable South African legislation, including the Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965 and its regulations as administered by SAHPRA.
Where applicable, products are registered or listed with the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA). See our Medical Device Disclaimer for further important safety information.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended use and should consult a qualified healthcare professional where necessary.
5. Eligibility
Customers must be at least 18 years of age or purchase under the supervision of a legal guardian.
6. Pricing
- All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
- The full price payable, including delivery/freight costs, is displayed at checkout before payment is made, in accordance with Section 43(1)(i) of the ECT Act.
- Prices may change without prior notice, but the price confirmed at checkout for an order already placed will be honoured.
- Obvious pricing errors (e.g. due to a technical or typographical fault) may be corrected before shipment, and the customer will be notified and offered a refund or the option to proceed at the corrected price.
7. Payment
Payments are securely processed through PayFast, a licensed South African payment service provider. Accepted payment methods include those supported by PayFast at the time of checkout (instant EFT, credit and debit cards). Approved corporate accounts may also pay via Corporate PO Net-30 credit terms.
Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully confirmed (or, for corporate accounts, once the purchase order has been approved).
8. Order Review and Acceptance
Before finally placing an order, you are given the opportunity to review your cart, correct any errors (including quantities and delivery address), and withdraw from the transaction at any point prior to payment, in accordance with Section 43(2) of the ECT Act.
Submission of an order does not constitute acceptance. G1 Healthcare reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order due to:
- Stock shortages
- Pricing errors
- Suspected fraud
- Regulatory requirements
- Incorrect customer information
9. Delivery
Orders are dispatched within normal business days subject to stock availability, in line with our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Delivery times are estimates only. Risk transfers to the customer upon delivery to the supplied delivery address. Customers must inspect deliveries immediately upon receipt.
10. Cooling-Off Right (ECT Act Section 44)
Because this is an electronic transaction, you are generally entitled to cancel your order without reason and without penalty within seven days of receiving the goods, in terms of Section 44 of the ECT Act. If you exercise this right, you are responsible only for the direct cost of returning the goods, and any amount already paid will be refunded within 30 days of cancellation.
Important exclusion for medical devices: Section 42(2)(f)(iii)–(iv) of the ECT Act excludes goods that, by their nature, cannot be returned, or that are likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly, from the cooling-off right. Because opened or used stoma bags, urostomy systems, and similar single-use medical devices cannot be resold once opened for hygiene and infection-control reasons, the cooling-off right does not apply to these products once opened. Unopened items remain eligible — see our Returns & Refunds Policy for full detail.
11. Returns for Defective or Incorrect Products
Separately from the cooling-off right above, defective or incorrectly supplied products may always be returned for repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), regardless of whether packaging has been opened. Customers must notify G1 Healthcare within a reasonable period after discovering any defect. Full detail is set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
12. Refunds
Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method through PayFast. Processing times depend on the payment provider and your bank, though refunds following a valid cooling-off cancellation will in any event be made within 30 days as required by the ECT Act.
13. Access to Transaction Records
Registered customers can access a full record of their orders at any time via their Account Dashboard, including a downloadable invoice for each order. Guests may retrieve their order record via Track My Order using their order number and email address, or by contacting support.
14. Medical Disclaimer
The information provided on this website is intended for educational and product information purposes only. It does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Customers should always seek advice from their treating doctor, surgeon, stoma therapist or healthcare professional before making healthcare decisions. See our full Website & Medical Device Disclaimer.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, G1 Healthcare shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of its products. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the affected product, save where such limitation cannot lawfully be excluded under the CPA.
16. Privacy
Customer information is collected and processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Payment card and banking information is securely processed by PayFast and is not stored by G1 Healthcare. See our full Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
17. Intellectual Property
All website content including logos, product information, graphics and text remain the intellectual property of G1 Healthcare unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.
18. Force Majeure
G1 Healthcare shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including transport disruptions, pandemics, natural disasters, strikes, load shedding, or government restrictions.
19. Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@g1healthcare.co.za so we can attempt to resolve it directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, you may refer it to:
- The Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) — an independent ombud scheme for consumer goods and services complaints in South Africa (www.cgso.org.za); or
- The National Consumer Commission, for complaints under the Consumer Protection Act; or
- The Information Regulator of South Africa, for complaints relating to the handling of your personal information under POPIA; or
- The South African courts, as set out under Governing Law below.
20. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Subject to the dispute resolution options above, any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
21. Amendments
G1 Healthcare may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our business, products, or applicable law. The version in effect at the time you place an order will govern that order. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and we encourage you to review this page periodically.
